The Convening for Dance and Culture is an annual two-day dance conference and concert experience in Detroit, Michigan. This event interweaves interactive classes taught by expert instructors from the African Diaspora. Classes are available on Saturday and Sunday, as well as an evening fundraiser performance from the TeMaTe dance company.

The concert showcases TeMaTe’s dance company. There will be up six performances over a two hour period with a short intermission.

Sessions include traditional West African dances such as Sabar, Drum and dance, Congolese and more!
